The Cottages at Mauna Olu is a new family-oriented gated community with 24/7 security on Oahu's famous west side. Mauna Olu is the perfect getaway from urban city life. Here, you can enjoy peaceful starry nights and a resort-like ambiance, while still feeling cozy and at home. World-famous Makaha Beach, known for its world-class surfing, is just a 5-minute drive away. The beach also offers great snorkeling and scuba diving when the waters are calm. The west side of Oahu is home to some of the most beautiful white sand beaches on Earth, and you'll often see dolphins swimming nearby.

If you're looking for a challenging round of golf, Makaha Valley Country Club is the perfect place for you. The course is located at the base of the Waianae mountains and is known for its varied doglegs and breathtaking elevation changes. It's one of the most enjoyable courses in the island chain to improve your golf skills.

There are also plenty of outdoor hikes in the area to enjoy. Perhaps the most famous is Kaena Point State Park, a bird sanctuary hike at the westernmost tip of Oahu. The park is known for its big waves and is said to be a jumping-off point for souls entering the afterlife. You can definitely feel the mana (power) here!

When you're ready for a taste of the city life, Makaha is just 16 miles away from Kapolei. Kapolei is home to the Ko Olina Resort, the Disney Aulani Resort, and many other attractions. There's no shortage of excitement for the entire family in this area!
