Kitchen could use more stocking as far as cooking utensils (peeler? Strainer? Spices/oil? Etc). A few broken things like hard to close gate and back door. You cannot walk to the beach from here as far as we found, closest beach is a 8 min drive. You do have to drive at least an hour to do most touring. There are a lot of homeless in this town/area. But overall good value, had enough rooms for our large group, and it is beautiful mountain scenery. Hosts very responsive. We had a wonderful time here, overall good experience.

We rented these two homes for a family reunion with 11 people (8 adults and 3 teens), and they were perfect for our group. Having two houses gave everyone plenty of privacy while still providing great spaces where we could all gather together. The pool and rec center were great, and the mountain views were beautiful. Be prepared for a bit of a drive if you plan to explore much of the island, though the nearby beaches are very convenient. We felt this Airbnb was worth the driving. (Unless you stay in just one area your entire trip, you'll likely be driving no matter where you stay on Oahu!) The part of Waianae closest to the property is a little rough around the edges and not very touristy, but it was never a problem. The gated community felt safe and welcoming. We had a couple of minor check-in hiccups, but the host responded quickly and was very helpful. We'd definitely recommend staying here!
