One of the cottages at Mauna Olu is located in a gated community with 24 hours security.
This home away from home has a lot to offer with beautiful beaches, local snorkeling, and eateries all within a 10-minute drive.

QUIET TIME:
This is in a gated residential community, please be mindful of our neighbors, no parties, no events, or large gatherings, HOA requires quiet hours 9:00 pm - 8:00 am.

PARKING:
Driveway parking. No parking allowed on the street and road. Guests are welcome to park one car in the garage, and one car in the left-side driveway of the unit. The right-side parking is for other unit.

The home is in a very beautiful location in Makaha Valley. If you’re good with being away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu this is a great place to stay. There are some great beaches within easy driving distance.

Stella’s home was absolutely beautiful! Very clean and spacious. Beds were very comfortable and there was everything you needed in the house to make your stay easier (kitchen, dishes, pots/pans food spices, paper towels, and garage had lots of stuff for the beach). I guess my only “complaint,” if I had to give one would be location on the island; but this is my own wrong doing for not doing more research! The home is in a beautiful gated community with incredible views; but outside of that is makaha, and wai’anae. Both which are pretty rundown and filled with homeless along the beach. If you plan on commuting to Honolulu, plan to drive in traffic everyday no matter the time (unless it’s weekends). The drive to north shore wasn’t bad (about an hour, and less traffic once you get out of town). Sad to see that take over such a beautiful place in Oahu! But nonetheless our stay was amazing.
